Unable to open archived documents from main screen

Trying to open documents from main screen results in an error message «Server Error in ‘/’ Application»

Common causes and recommended solutions:

  1. Attachments cannot be opened simultaneously from the E-Doc front page. This issue arises because the received files cannot be consolidated into a single PDF, often due to some files being in formats other than PDF, such as Excel or Word documents.

Solution: Open each attachment individually and use the appropriate software to access the archived file. For example, XLS/XLSX files should be opened with Excel, and TXT files with Notepad or Word. - On the main screen, double-click the relevant declaration line. - This will allow you to access the archived files separately as they were received or uploaded.

  2. PDF document properties/settings prevent document collection. When the PDF was originally created, the author set the document properties to disallow inclusion in a document collection or merging with other PDFs. Typically, this is beyond the control of the customs representative, as it depends on the settings established by the PDF's creator. This often applies to documents like invoices, where settings prevent merging with other PDFs or inclusion in a document collection.

  3. Attachments/files received from the customs representative are corrupt, damaged, or invalid. Solution: Contact the PDF creator (supplier or customs representative) to request new attachments if needed. E-Doc cannot repair a damaged or corrupt file that has been received.
