How default values work - Defaults set for a field are prefilled when you start a new declaration. - Ensure a procedure is selected in the bottom of the application window so the correct fields are available for editing. ![](https://hub.emmasys.com/hubfs/image-png-May-21-2026-08-47-26-4547-AM.png) If you do not have a procedure selected, please select it in the top menu: ![](https://hub.emmasys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-21-2026-08-48-37-8177-AM.png?width=393&height=44&name=image-png-May-21-2026-08-48-37-8177-AM.png) Set a default value for a field 1. Click into the field where you want to set a default value. 2. Press CTRL + ALT + F2. 3. Save the default value by clicking "Ok".
