IMD – Editing Vehicle Registration Number

How to editing registration number after an approved declaration

In some cases, it may be necessary to update the vehicle registration number after a customs declaration has already been approved. This functionality is available in IMDS/IMDP from version 378.

When is this relevant?

  • Reports such as FORDONSANMÄLLAN include the vehicle registration number.

  • If the registration number changes after approval, it may need to be corrected in the system.


How to edit the vehicle registration number

  1. Open the relevant assignment.

  2. Go to drop-don menu Special.

  3. Click Edit the Vehicle Registration Number, and enter the New ID in the pop-up.

  4. Click OK to save the changes.

Once saved, the updated registration number will be used in relevant reports.

Important notes

  • Editing is only possible for assignments with the required statuses 5, 7, 9 or 9u.

  • The change does not affect data already sent to IMDS.
