NCTS Phase 6 Production Launch – 27 February 2026

NCTS v6 is available in Emma CMS from version 10.376

We would like to inform you that Sweden will go into production with NCTS Phase 6 on 27 February 2026.

Transit declarations will continue to be processed in NCTS Phase 5 until the transition takes place at the end of February 2026.

After the transition, transit declarations can only be handled in NCTS Phase 6.

In connection with the transition to NCTS Phase 6, Swedish Customs has announced a planned service interruption.

The transition to NCTS Phase 6 will take place at 00:59:59 on 27 February 2026 (Swedish time).

This will result in system downtime:

After 00:00 on 27 February, all messages must be submitted according to the NCTS Phase 6 technical specification.

Swedish Customs recommends planning in advance to minimise the number of cases during the downtime.

If a transit must be handled during the service interruption, the NCTS contingency procedure must be used.

Codes 1 (ENS) and 3 (ENS & EXS) cannot be used for safety and security declarations
IE007 – the incident flag – has been removed.

We recommend planning any necessary testing well in advance of the production launch.

Choose V6 in NCTS to use NCTS Phase 6. this will be default after 27th of feb at 00:00
