Procedure to cancel a declaration
In the context of canceling a declaration (CC514), please refer to the Customs Authority link: Change or invalidate an export declaration.
Invalidating an export declaration:
In certain situations, you cannot apply for a change and must instead request to invalidate the declaration. This applies, for example, if:
- You have declared your goods under the wrong customs procedure, and the goods have not been released for export or re-export.
- The goods you declared have not been exported from the EU, or if the same goods have been declared in more than one declaration.
Invalidating via EDI (EMMA)
You can request to invalidate a declaration via EDI using message IE514, provided that the declaration has one of the following statuses:
- Accepted
- Released for export
- Released for removal
Additionally, please use the e-service provided by the Customs Authority for further assistance.
To initiate a cancellation message in EMMA, first, select the relevant shipment. Then, locate and check the box labeled "annulering" in the bottom right corner.
Next, provide the reason for the cancellation in the designated field and click on the "send request" button.
Once your cancellation request is accepted, you will receive a 509 message, and the declaration status will change to 0.
