DMS Import - Standard XML Integration to Emma CMS

With the launch of DMS Import, we have extended our XML schema (XSD) to support an expanded data model for Emma CMS standard integration into Emma CMS.

The updated XSD enables external systems — including ERP, WMS, TMS, and other line-of-business systems to send the additional and more detailed metadata directly to Emma CMS as part of the integration flow.

The purpose of this extension is to:

  • Ensure that DMS Import receives required data at creation in Emma CMS

  • Reduce the need for manual data enrichment within the Emma CMS

  • Support structured and validated data transfer

     

Integrations must validate against the updated XSD version in order to use the new fields. The existing XML structure has been preserved but extended with additional elements specifically supporting DMS-related data.

When enabling DMS Import, we recommend reviewing the current XML mapping and updating the integration according to the new XSD specification.

If you are not using the standard Emma CMS integration, adjustments may be required to support the extended XSD and DMS Import functionality.

Such changes will be handled as a formal change request. The implementation will need to be planned and scheduled in alignment with our development roadmap and resource availability.

During the transition period, we can assist by configuring default values for required fields where applicable. This can help ensure continued operation while the necessary integration updates are being implemented.
